Free, simple tools for dog and cat people

Upload one clear photo of your dog or cat and we show the breeds they most resemble, along with the coat, ear and face features behind the match. Alongside that sit a handful of small free tools: a bark decoder, a meow translator, an age calculator and a name generator.

Your photo is used to produce your match and is sent securely to our image-analysis provider for processing and is not kept on our site afterwards. No account is needed to use anything here.

A breed match is based on appearance only. It is not a DNA test, proof of pedigree, or veterinary advice. For health questions, always speak to your vet.

MyPetBreed is run by a small independent team of pet owners who build simple web tools. We also build Pawazo, a pet-care companion for keeping pet profiles, care records and reminders in one place. You can reach us any time at hello@mypetbreed.com.

Every breed page is written by hand, then checked against widely published breed descriptions from recognised breed clubs and veterinary references before it goes live.

We test each tool with real photos of dogs and cats of different coats, ages and lighting before release, and we re-check a page whenever we change how matching works. Where something is an estimate, we say so on the page rather than presenting it as a fact.

If you spot something inaccurate, tell us and we will correct or remove it.

The tools are free to use. Advertising helps cover running costs, and we also work with Pawazo, a pet-care companion for keeping pet profiles, care records and reminders in one place.
